Camper Stops

The parking of campers is allowed in the common areas following the rules of the Highway Code , where parking for cars is also allowed ( where there is no relevant prohibition sign).
It is perfectly safe and permissible to park in the countryside and in other places (near beaches, in municipal and public parking lots, mountains, etc.)
In Crete there are 11 official camper stops where you can stay safely. Almost all of them are located relatively close to the sea. The campsites in Crete are not very big, some have a little difficult access so be very careful on the road with trees and branches.
It is not necessary to make a reservation but we suggest you contact the desired campsite a few days before to get all the necessary information, especially when we are talking about a high rental season. In all camperstops you can fill the tank with water, empty the sewage and the toilet cassette. The campsites provide electricity (220v) at an extra charge.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ISLAND

CRETAGO TRAVEL & CAMPER  will suggest you unique places and locations in Crete that you can easily reach and park.
If you want to know about unique beaches, archaeological sites, caves and canyons or critical cuisine, on our website you will find the necessary information that will make your vacation unforgettable.
Crete is the largest and most populous island of Greece and the fifth largest in area in the Mediterranean, after Sicily, Sardinia, Cyprus, and Corsica. Heraklion city is a capital and largest city of the island , which is the seat of the region of Crete and includes neighboring small islands and islets.
The special geological structure of the island's terrain creates contrasting images, as it combines forests, seas, beautiful beaches, mountains with high altitude and snow, but also rocky and dry terrain. With its rich history, culture, unique natural environment, particularly mild climate and the well-known hospitality of its inhabitants, Crete  attracts many visitors from all over the world. The regional units of Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion and Lassithi make up the Region of Crete which is bordered by the Cretan Sea to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south.
We suggest you plan your trip and routes before coming to Crete to decide which places you want to visit. You can choose one of the prefectures of Crete for your vacation, or if you have more time to explore the whole island.
